Gideon Hausner devoted his life to bringing the moral core of Judaism to the administration of justice in Israel. As Attorney General of Israel in the 1960's, he is best known for serving as Chief Prosecutor at the Adolf Eichmann trial. He served as a member of the Knesset from 1965 - 1967, as a minister in the cabinet from 1974 - 1977, and as President of the International Council of Yad Yashem from 1969 - 1989.

Gideon Hausner promoted and encouraged the field of Holocaust education so the stories of many could be preserved and honored. Gideon Hausner was related to members of our school community. We are proud to be associated with someone whose life was dedicated to Jewish values, justice, and education as well as a deep commitment to the State of Israel.
