“Teachers and school children... precious jewels of our community.”

Song of Songs

Walk around our campus. You will see students deeply engaged in learning and focused on their tasks. They may be working at their desks, on the carpet or in small groups outdoors under a tree. You may find them writing their own books, critically analyzing Jewish texts or re-enacting historical events through drama, music or poetry. Our approach is multi-sensory (visual/auditory/kinesthetic) and emphasizes a hands-on experiential learning process. Our teachers are trained to help each student develop self-reliance and confidence in all areas of the curriculum. We strive to help students appreciate the joy and beauty of learning and discovery.

At Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School, we combine an excellent general education with meaningful Jewish studies. Students develop important writing and critical thinking skills across both curriculums.

Our dual curriculum program is more demanding than those at other schools. Academic excellence is built on rigorous standards, exceptional staff and small student-to-teacher ratios. The curriculum is woven together to provide an exceptional learning experience.
