Please join us in providing a superb educational environment for our students. In order to maintain an outstanding learning experience for every child, we ask parents, school board members and community members to contribute to the school in many ways. Each of our fundraising programs is critical to our success and each meets a different need.

Annual Fund
Formerly called Balance the Books, the Annual Fund is the school’s primary fundraiser for meeting operating needs and ensuring financial strength. Like most independent schools, Hausner cannot function on revenue from tuition alone. After each family pays tuition, it still costs the school approximately $2,300 per student to pay for all that goes into a Hausner education. Gifts to the Annual Fund help cover this shortfall, provide the financial resources to competitively attract and retain our outstanding faculty, and provide a rich educational and cultural experience for our children. The Annual Fund also helps provide tuition support for every Hausner family who needs it.

Campaign Chai
This Campaign is for long-term fundraising to support the future of our school. To date, the Hausner community has raised over $16 million, which has been used to purchase and build out our current campus, and to purchase the property next door at 560 San Antonio Road. Over 90% of families participated during the first phase of the Campaign, many making the largest gift they have ever given to a nonprofit organization. The second phase continues as we work to develop the resources we will need to ensure the school's long-term educational excellence, including state-of-the-art curriculum, staff, and facilities to support our school-wide performing arts, Jewish studies and athletics programs, as well as provide space for community celebrations and our own kosher cafeteria. We look forward to telling you more about our plans during the school year.

Escrip
By registering online (www.escrip.com) and by shopping at participating merchants, our school receives about $10,000 per year. This program costs you nothing and the school benefits every time you make a purchase. Please take a moment to sign up today.

Car Donations
Our school has an active car donation program which helps support our scholarship funds. Please contact Rachel Wells at 650/494-8200, extension 100, for more information. This program, run by a dedicated volunteer, provides an easy and rewarding way to turn your old vehicle into a scholarship for Jewish education.

Tribute Gifts
Hausner families and friends may choose to honor a special person – such as a teacher, student, relative or friend – by making a gift in his or her name. If you would like to make an honor or memorial gift, we will include the name of the individual in whose name the gift is made in a special section of our 2007-08 Annual Report.
