In addition to our standard K-8 physical education program, Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School participates in the Small School Intermediate League (SSIL) competing against various local private and public schools. We are very excited about our participation in the SSIL. In playing inter-scholastic sports, our students have the opportunity to show off their athletic talents, learn about teamwork, cooperation and hard work, and have fun!
Our inter-scholastic sports program for Grades 6-8 offers various competitive team and individual sports including:
- Co-ed Flag Football
- Volleyball
- Basketball
- Soccer
- Cross Country
- Tennis
- Bowling
- Swimming
- Golf
- Cheerleading
We are in the seventh year of our inter-scholastic sports program for Grades 6-8. Each year we have added more sports and increased the number of student-athlete participants. At Hausner each student-athlete is expected to represent our school positively on the field and off. This includes, but is certainly not limited to athletic sportsmanship, academics and interactions between peers and adults.
